Below are a range of specifically selected excursions offered on the island.
The Great House Antigua's driver will also be on hand to arrange trips and tours of the island.

Trips to Nelsons Dockyard 
Internationally famous, Nelson’s Dockyard, has been marked a UNESCO World Heritage site. Named after Admiral Horatio Nelson the dockyard is the only working Georgian naval dockyard still functioning in the world. It is the home to many of the original buildings, which have been converted into shops and restaurants and is used for yachting activities throughout the year.
If you would like additional information about English Harbour please ask or visit the site and the museum the history and charm of the Harbour are ready for you to explore.

Trips to Barbuda
Visit Antigua’s sister island – Barbuda – which rises low on the sea, 27 miles to the North of Antigua. This island is famous for its crystal water, pink beaches and unique frigate bird sanctuary. Though hurricane Irma hit the island in 2017 it is being re-built and is open for business as usual.
You can visit by private boat, the normal Antigua to Barbuda ferry or helicopter. 
Barbuda Express:
The ferry departs daily from the bottom of Long Street, St Johns.
Check-in is 08:30 – returning at 17:00 and takes 90 minutes one way.

Tropical Adventures Antigua

UnderSea Odyssey Tours, An Experience of a Lifetime!
UnderSea Odessey Tour offer experiences tailored to match guest's needs and are exclusive so guests never have to worry about sharing in their experience. Group are kept small, so a maximum of 6 persons and a minimum of 1. 
 
Snorkel Odyssey (US$ 850) Maximum 4 persons
US$75 for additional person
This Experience is 4 hours long. 
Guests will be picked up via taxi and brought to UnderSea Odyssey dock. The group then heads to Bird Island for a small hike and take in the breath-taking sights there. 
 
Guest can then cool down at the beach on that island prior to going out to the Island's channel reefs to explore the underwater world at their leisure.
 
 After snorkeling a picnic style lunch break at Maide Island is offered (Lunch is usually an option between chicken skewers and shrimp skewers with Spanish rice or roasted potatoes, roasted veg and the chef's dessert for the day).  Lunch can be served with odyssey champagne if guests wish.  UnderSea Odyssey bar is opened throughout the trip (offering coke, sprite, ginger ale, odyssey champagne and water.)  Any other options can be requested and will be provided at an extra cost.
 
The group then leaves Maide Island and heads along the west coast to find a secluded beach and anchor for a relaxing swim.  After the swim the group heads back to dock and our guests are picked up by taxi and returned.
 
 
Sunset Odyssey (US 550) Maximum 2 persons

The Sunset Experience is  2 hours, guests will be brought to the dock and offered  the odyssey champagne and taken along the west coast to watch the sunset, or bird island. 
Guests are offered odyssey champagne, and hors d'oeuvres (normally veggies and dips). The  bar is pened along this trip with the same drinks offered as above.  
 
Antigua Paddles
Kayak/Hike/Snorkel Eco Adventure in Mercers Creek Bay. No previous experience is required, but you should be able to swim and moderately fit with no mobility limitations. This adventure is unsuitable for pregnant women.  All kayak gear, motor boat, sanitized snorkel gear/fins, life preservers, snorkelling float belts are provided, as is drinking water and fresh local food.
The entire adventure encompasses highlights within a 2 1/2 mile circumference of the North Sound Marine Park, partly by kayak; 50 minutes paddling, with frequent stops to 'eco chat') and partly by motor boat (to visit Bird Island and offshore reefs). At Bird Island there is an optional 8 minute guided nature hike; to photograph panoramic views and seek seasonal birds. There are also two beaches, plenty of shade, safe swimming and offshore reef snorkelling, (or snorkelling off the beach).

Swim with Stingrays at Stingray City
A short boat ride out from the sting-ray city hub takes you to the flat banks where you can pet and fed stingrays in their natural environment. Your experienced guides provide information on stingrays and the opportunity to snorkel on colourful coral reefs.

Daily tours at 9am, 11am and 1pm, depends on the availability.  The tour lasts approximately an hour and 30 min including the boat ride to the park enclosure.
 
The cost of the tour is $50.00usd for each person over the age of 4 years old.

Located on Fig Tree Drive the tour takes guests through the heart of the rainforest for an adrenaline fuelled agenda. The state of the art equipment and safety is in place while you zip 300ft above the ground.

Salty Dogs Adventure
Explore the island with a 2 seater off-road automatic buggy along a customised route with friendly guides. Starting in Redcliffe Quay in St Johns the tour heads out of town and onto a off-road track for a scenic view of the Body Pond, down Fig Tree Drive and the white sand costal views along the way. Scooters are also available to hire for private exploration of the island.

Our guided tours are US$ 240 per 2 seater buggy, for a 2.5 hr tour. 3 hours total with time for the paperwork and safety briefing. 
Our tour begins and ends at Redcliffe Quay, St John's, at the cruise ship piers.
 
Guests will explore on and off-road Antigua, under lush rainforest canopies, through fields of lemongrass and stopping at the famous Body Pond Dam. Along the way, learn about Antigua's natural wonders, agriculture, and view scenic lookouts. A stop at the beach for a quick dip rounds out the trip. 
All guest need to take their Driver's licence – you will be driving on and off-road.
 
 
Indigo Divers
Owned and managed by a group of PADI Scuba Driving professionals with years of experience. Indigo Divers pick up from Jolly harbour and surrounding properties and drive guests to the sheltered west and south coasts, including Cades Reef, which are around 20 minutes away. Special package and night dives can also be arranged.

Golf
Antigua has two 18-hole courses on the island, one of the west coast and a championship course on the north of St. Johns.

Walks of the Island
Here at The Great House we are keen to ensure all guests are able to explore much of our beautiful island as possible. Our staff and local team are happy to offer walks for guests to explore.
Free walks include our local nature hikes or hike to Betty’s Hope.
